Hello JBA!
October is going to be a great month for JBA and for the region. Many of our members who applied were chosen to participate on the International Leadership Network (ILN). We are so excited for our JBAbes who got positions and can’t wait to see the amazing things they do! ILN work with International Board to oversee region procedures, inform the international community about BBYO news, and more varying from committee to committee. Just as exciting were the numerous members who applied and were chosen to participate on our Regional Leadership Network (RLN) for the Great Midwest Region (GMR)! These teens will work with our Regional Board to oversee chapter programming, parliamentary procedures, globalization, and so much more depending on the committee. There are so many opportunities in BBYO for your child to get involved and become a better leader. Another one of these amazing upcoming chances is International Convention! Registration opened on the 26th of September and if your child is interested in attending, here is some information regarding IC:

60% of the spots are already taken :)

International Convention (IC) is:
The largest gathering of Jewish teen leaders worldwide
A great way to make Jewish friends internationally
Meeting inspiring speakers
Deepening leadership skills
Serving the local community
Celebrating and learning about Shabbat together
Having access to exclusive music performances
Doing your part to strengthen the Jewish future
A LOT of FUN!!!

Along with IC, registration for GMR’s Fall Convention is now open to all members! This is another great way to get involved and learn more about BBYO and how to participate. Our hope with this convention is to leave all participants but specifically younger members feeling comfortable in all future BBYO settings. Fall Convention will be at Beber Camp from November 8-10. The cost is $300 and transportation is provided. Register here! Again, if there are any questions about scholarship, email the directors above.
We are so excited to tell you about all the fun chapter programs we have planned for this month!
